Brexit was the result of the stupidity and ignorance of the general voter mixed with sub follower mentality. The worst move in British history. It never accomplished anything good. On the contrary, it’s been an increasing disaster.
Indeed Susan - Brexit was an extraordinary act of self-harm, so much damage, no perceptible benefits. It got so bitter though, that I can't see the UK wanting to debate it again for a generation.
Well said. When I read what appeared to be concern that you were moving towards the right, all I could think was that there is really nothing bad and likely everything good about being right of the current left. It’s toxic as anything. As is the right, but I never quite realised how dangerous the left can also be until recent years. Radical centrism - I like that. Mostly I like the idea of not being arseholes to one or another, which is basically what I wrote today.
This is a really compelling case for radical centrism. I also loved the Judo analogy of letting extremism collapse by refusing to push back.
I have a personal question I wanted to ask that I left in your inbox, when you have time please check it out.

Thanks Sally, kind words. There is a risk that radical centralism pleases no one, but it seems the smart move to me, considering the alternatives.
Very possible, given how driven people are to extremes these days. I agree it’s a smart move.
